I thought you guys might find this interesting. My Brother is very electrically minded and is also a guitarist. For my B-Day (back in May) he got the idea to build me something very different. He belongs to several amp forums (AX84) and got the idea (based on the "Firefly) for a "Self Heating Cake Pan". This bad boy is a 1/2 watt tube amp designed to be used dimed, but with a volume level that is very low and comfortable. I have not received it yet (not quite finished), but my Brother has plugged it into his 4x12 cab and says it sounds fabulous and easily gets the "Star Spangled Banner" tone.

Never seen anything quite like it! What do the knobs and switch do? Kind of reminds me of the old days when we used to make a Fuzz out of car light dimmer switches. I'd like to hear it!

That is pretty cool. Now I know where to go to get my custom amps made! :)

I have not seen it in person yet, but if I remember correctly my Brother said: Power, Volume, Tone, Gain, and Overdrive.

I would too. My Brother has some finishing touches to it. I think he did some sound files I'll have to see if he posted them online.

When you pour the cake batter in, doesn't it run out the tube sockets?

I don't get it?
