If it can finally get instrument manufacturers to bundle copies of the CITES certificates for the wood, and a signed statement that the instruments were made from that wood, this seems like very good news. I really like rosewood, and especially Brazilian rosewood, but I want to be sure that no matter what woods are used, they are sourced in a responsible way.
Even if it raises the price.

Deforestation doesn't just harm the forests and the species living there, but also the local populations. Land erosion, desertification, and many other problems are directly due to the practice of companies buying from the cheapest source, not the most sustainable source.

Regulative agencies and the grandeur-deluded bureaucrats who staff them create yet another raison d'etre for their own worthless existence.

What a load of crap!
