"You can do all things through Christ whom strengthens you!"

Just remember to let Him and the doctors and nurses and other supporters working for Him carry you. There's times going through that stuff when you can't walk any more by yourself and then He'll do the heavy lifting.

Thanks again for the positive support.

This ELEVENTH Round is a tough one, but I'm still thinking positive and really appreciate your positive support!

Well, I'm into my ELEVENTH Round of chemotherapy now. My oncologist told me today that the neuropathy will probably still be evident for another several months. For that reason, they will be doing follow-up bloodwork, CEA blood tests, PET/CT scans and mediport maintenance.

It went okay today and some of the nurses came by to "remind" me that the end is near. It's nice of them, and I appreciate it, but I don't need to be reminded. I'm kinda/sorta at the point where I've had enough. It will be great to be disconnected from the pump for the LAST time and to eventually have the mediport taken out of my chest.

That said, I still don't want to get ahead of myself because any little thing can change the schedule and/or progress, which has been very good so far with only one setback that delayed treatment back around cycle 5 I think?

Again thanks Chet, zzdoc, Brad Traweek, Shane Nicholas, Mike Eldred ,Barry Pullis, Redmax, strat58cat, bmcmillin, fhopkins, nrt4, old pat, snowy72, giljanus, Ceri, JHJS, cvilleira, gusred, jayro, and to all for the positive support and comments. :)

We're still with you Mike, Keep up the possitive attitude and the Chemo portion will soon be over. Easier said by me than felt by you I know but we are all pulling for you to come out of this healthy. You have made many of stronger by posting your battle and you deserve our support, prayers and Mojo. Thanks Mike.

Thanks, Pat, I really appreciate that and hope that it will help others that are diagnosed with cancer.

I have a later appointment today at 10am (EST) for my treatment and if the bloodwork looks okay, they will disconnect my portable infusion pump afterwards for the second to last time :)

Words cannot describe the feeling when they take the pump out...freedom feels great! :)

I've booked all of my final appointments for the week of December 22nd..."Last Tango in Chemo" is coming soon! :)

I concurr doc.

Just got in from seeing a local 9-piece funky horn band. Mostly original in the vibe of Tower of Power, Edgar Winter, Crusaders, etc.

I'd still be there if my wife didn't have to get up at 4:30am for work tomorrow.

I'm feeling pretty good about the end of this phase and ready for the next steps of the journey...follow-ups...blood tests....scans...

Thanks again to all for the positive support. :)

Mike, it does my heart good to read your posts! I don't look at it as us giving encouragement to you, I look at it as you being an inspiration to us all! I thank you for having the guts, the moxie, the stubbornness and the faith to stick it out like you have. You are a true warrior and an example of what courage is.

I salute you my friend!

Thanks Bill!

I'm feeling pretty good this morning after finishing the 11th round. I have one final round of chemo scheduled for the week of December 22nd.

After that, I'll be monitored and will have follow-up appointments for blood tests, scans, eventual surgery to remove port and finally a follow-up scope check, but the chemo phase will soon be over. :)

Mike, you're almost there. Wow, only one to go. Your story of endurance through this tough time has been a great thing to share. Thank you. I think you've created a nice little something here, maybe a kind of art.
