Hey gang, I've been passively looking for a decent noise/hum eliminator for my home setup and last night while noodling around the hum was especially annoying. This is with my MIM 70's RI strat through a pedalboard to a valve jr. stack. The hum goes from very slight to worse depending on which way I face. Most of the noise suppressor pedals I see are in the $100+ range, and if at all possible, I'd rather stay in the $50 range. Can you offer any suggestions short of changing pups? I'd rather keep the guitar electronics stock if I can. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Personally, 'use an Electro-Hamonix Hum De-Bugger for the last 6 months, 'got one pretty much soon as it hit the market.

We have a big sodium-vapour light on the street nearby and the Mosrite and Fender single-coils really picked up on it and broadcasted light-hum-noise, especially through a Fender amp.

Highly recommended.

It cost about $110 or so but it works, here.

100 dollars gets you a Boss NS-2 new but if you look around you may get one like me used a the music store for 50. One of the shops near me always has dozens of pedals for sale most at half cost.
