It's important not to be judgmental, but after being slammed with toxic chemo again and again for six months and suffering irreversible neurological damage just to stay alive, that's all, not rich or famous, a musician but not good enough for myself, just trying to survive - watching somebody throw away her life turns my stomach and almost makes me want to barf like I'm in the chemo suite and they didn't load me up enough with steroids to keep the projectile vomiting under control. Oh yeah, it's real and here's to hoping you never have to go through that. So, clean up, Amy. Recognize that you're a child of God, here for a while, and maybe you can do something with your time other than chase the dragon and enslave yourself to the crack pipe. One good thing about chemo, it's not addictive. Everyone who ever had it never wanted it again. Ennablers surroud her and what she doesn't know is she's already blown so many circuits that she's not what she was. She should make the most of what she's got left. Clapton or somebody else who has been there is the place to turn, with his rehab center, but she doesn't even play a chord on the guitar from what I know and so she may not be in sufficient awe of what Clapton can do. She's only going one way, and that's down six feet. No reason to rush it, Amy, we all get there sooner or later.

She is just not my cup of tea talent-wise. However if she still looks now like she used to I wouldn't throw her out of bed for eating crackers.

Like my father always used to say, "There's a thin line between genius and madness."

IMO, She's dug the hole too deep for her to climb out of it. I truly hope I'm wrong but I think we'll be reading about her demise sooner than later.

Her personal travails aside, I like her retro sound.

When I first heard some of her songs, I thought that it was a refreshing break from the usual blonde-teen-Britney wanna-bees. I still like some of her tunes, but I've lost some respect that I might of had for her from what I've seen and read lately.

I've heard another female vocalist named Nicole Atkins, that I really like. I hope that she doesn't take the same roads as Amy seems to have.

If she keeps up her life style, she will get emphyzema, according to her daddy... wait she has emphyzema, well, not really, but maybe a little.

If I keep crossing the street with my eyes shut, eventually I'll get hit by a car. Wait, I have been hit by a car. Not really, well...maybe a little.

fantastic voice, one of my favorites around today. i've always love those motown grooves and she does that very well.

she's a little too much into the party side though and it's going to mess her career up if she's doesn't get a handle on it.

but then again, that's very common in music sadly - in every genre.

There seems to be a lot of interest in the old '60s R&B sound in the UK. AW is just one of several female R&B singers being exported to the US and elsewhere. Duffy is another that comes to mind . . . and she's not bad looking, either!
