There are places in Canada that have refused to cooperate with that nonsense.
A small town in BC (Creston) doesn't change their clocks.
They're right on the time zone border so it's pretty easy for them to not change.
The entire province of Saskatchewan doesn't change either.
I wish more places had the backbone to stand up to this stupidity.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Here in Arizona we don't change either. But everybody else dutiful performs the fool's errand that DST is and it screws up the scheduling of most nationally-syndicated talk-radio shows. That's what really pisses me off.

I remember as a kid, in Spring, travelling by rail from Germany to Evian les Bains in France on the day of the switchover.

Seems someone at the Société nationale des chemins de fer français (SNCF) - (French Nat'l. Railway) forgot to take Daylight Savings into account when printing the rail schedules for the entire country.

The solution? Well in typical French fashion, at 0200, the SNCF stopped every train in the country where it stood, wherever it stood, for exactly 1 hour.

This way, the trains ended up running 'on-time'.

cheers!

That's hilarious, Lightning. Obviously, something was lacking in the training. :D
