Tuned it up and it really sounds sweet plugged into my 57 Champ clone.

I am really impressed at how well made it is for a $500.00 guitar, very nice fret work and a beautiful finish.

I am not happy with the taper on the pots, but that can be corrected latter!

Got to go.....Got a new guitar to play!

Pretty cool. 8) I've had some GAS developing for these and the new Mustang bass, too.

At a guess, it's not a DUO-SON, but a bad camera angle and reflection, combined with overly "smart" camera software that fills in overexposure from the surrounding area. My Nikon used to do that, and it took some reading to figure out how to make it stop.
Anyhow, I hope you and the guitar will have lots of good times!

I'm not into short-scale guitars but that one looks to be pretty versatile.

What do they call that color?

It is Surf Green, it has a metallic luster.

It is actually a DUO-SONIC.

You nailed it, I was also in hurray and a little excited, my better half is the photographer, I need to get my other guitars together and take a "family picture".

Congrats, Omar! Now that you've had it for a while, how do you like it? You've given me a bit of GAS.

Edit: just ran across this http://forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=101438, I guess that answers the question.

I forget what that colour is called but it's not Surf Green.
I think it's possible Surf may be part of the name but it's not Surf Green.
Unless they've recently changed the names around and haven't had time to change the names on the web site.
Yours does happen to be one of my all time fave colours when it comes to solid colours.
Pretty tough to beat that one.

You can see an example of traditional Surf Green here.
