It seems that Fender blocked access of their US site to customers outside America redirecting them to the international hub. The address http://shop.fender.com/en-US is unusable.

It may not be Fender, it might be your government.

Or maybe our government.

You better take a look outside and see if there's a black helicopter silently hovering over your home.

Maybe they are trying to reduce attacks from foreign sourced threats. Fender rarely shifts gears, without using the pedal on the far left of the floorboard. I wouldn't rule out Aliens either.
Perhaps just part of the effort to shift productivity farther south.

Some websites determine your location based on your user account. If you are logged in, try logging out of the site, clear your browser history, and see if you still can't reach it.

... or try a VPN.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I didn't mean they are spying, but things are being done to channel internet traffic through specific servers for several reasons, for example Netflix will not allow users out side the U.S. to use the U.S. based servers because of copyright agreements. They have also blocked users that use VPN's.

I have not seen any black helicopter's, I've been watching for them with my night vision glasses.

But I have noticed a couple of guys following me that last few days, Excuse me a moment someone is at the door.........

Don't open it before donning your tin-foil hat.

It appears these days that Donald isn't the only one building a wall. Governments and industry have decided what is best for you. Ironic since they promote the Hades out of the advantages of globalization?!

Personally, politics aside, I think we should export the dweebs making these decisions.

Pretty soon we'll only have what is built and sold down the street . . . or a Chinese copy.

At the bottom of the International site in question you will see Change Your Region. For the moment it does not get me to the USA site. Could be Fender, but I haven't pulled all the strings yet.
In defence of Fender, should this be the reason for change, I can regretfully understand this approach since there are both financial and organizational considerations. Still, others do not practice this approach so each to their own.

Unplug your modelling amp . . the spies are everywhere. 8)

After clearing cache, history and whatnot, and disallowing cookies I found a workaround for some access to Fender USA.You can normalize history and cookies and whatnot for the following.

Go to a Proxy browser like startpage.com or other of your choice. Search for fender.com and from the results choose your interests. I went to shop.fender.com/en-US/electric-guitars/. Now make sure to do a proxy search to the site. I was able to change pages in proxy mode so that I could view the guitars :D Sure there will be limitations, but there's plenty of usage here until a better condition or answer arrives.

Cheers!
FSB

I have found in some cases that once you are in the site you may be able to unproxy as normal to view videos, etc.YMMV

My guess is that they don't want visitors from other countries to see the US prices.
With US retail being based on caveat emptor and no consumer protection, US prices will be very misleading to someone coming in from the outside.

There seems to be some confusion about what a VPN is ... perhaps you were thinking 'Anonymizer'?
