I just saw on the Sam Ash site, an Am. Std. Olympic White / Rosewood Precision for $999.

Apparently, a few other people saw the $999. Am. Std. Precision. It went pretty quick. I guess that's what SA wanted. The Am. Std. numbers are going down significantly on the sites.

Yeah, once those are gone, that's it other than the used market.

That was part of my motivation to hang on to the Am. Std. Fretless. If I sold that and decided to go for a fretless in the future, it probably wouldn't be an Am. Std. that I have now. At least with this Fretless, I know what I've got.

That's true, unless they decide to make another one with whatever they're going to replace the American Standard Series with, if it all.

Who knows what they'll do next. The Brits know. They always know before we do here in Fenderland, USA. How's that happen, ever wonder? On the next edition of 60 Minutes. After the NFL game on CBS.Image

We saw that with a couple of Fenders in the past. One I think was the Bassman 800 head.

Yeah, like some store like Anderton's Music over there, which I suspect is their equivalent to Sam Ash, or something.

It was pretty swift how they were giving out more information on Fender products, than Fender was at the time.

I know. You'd think that they are technically an American company, we'd have first dibs on stuff since we're right here next to them.

Andertons have the Professional Series up for pre-order already. £1399 seems to be the going rate, ANOTHER price hike for the UK, but I'm sure this one will hit the States as well.
Really glad I picked up my US Deluxe last year in an end of line sale. Still a few Standard Teles and Strats going for £999 in the UK.
