At first from the title of your thread, I thought you were talking about that gossip celebrity site and he went on a rampage and wasted a few paparazzi. :P

From the looks of what he is unloading, he has more of an affinity to Rosewood fret boards vs maple! Unless he is simply keeping all the maple necks for himself? Some very nice guitars, especially some of the Les Paul's.

Weird!

He's dumping his guitars AND his house......

You don't reckon he volunteered for one of those one-way NASA missions to Mars, do you?

America's first "space cowboy".

I was just boating through the San Juan islands 2 weeks ago on my way to Victoria, on Vancouver Island, if I had known I would have made a stop to see the real estate for sale  In reality I am sure they would not have seen me without checking with the bank first and then they definitely would not let me off the boat. I use to deliver the Seattle PI when I was a kid

Thanks for the posts, Mike.

Beautiful guitars and home. Furthermore, having grown up in the neighbourhood of Victoria, and working and sailing out of Sydney, Vancouver Island, I can recommend the location. Friday Harbour is well known and quaint as are much of the islands in the area.

Celebrities are nothing new here. Bob Hope and Jerry Lewis amongst many entertainers were said to have homes in Victoria, and bumping into a celebrity, I once bumped into Lee Marvin and later Vincent Price, was and is a casual meeting. There are so many musicians and artists in the neighbourhood we just give them the respect for privacy they seek. Of course, it's always fun to see the yachts and share in the rumours. It's also fun to discover that a new entertainer or older one has a residence. Salmon fishing, skiing, and golf doesn't hurt the interest either.

Today, I live far away from all that; but, at least I enjoyed the experience. Now if only I could come up with millions of moola.

Are you implying that he fears sharing the same marital fate as Mickey Rooney who passed without a pot to piss in or a window to toss it from?

Well, if that be true, Steve's in a great place to get lost with all the islands, bush, hills, and inlets to say the least. He could live off the land and sea like Bear Grylls. Maybe even carve himself a new guitar.
