The more cultured side of me always did love this tune (Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata), just an awesome piece of music and I love this stunning guitar version. Sipping on a beverage of one's choice, chillaxing and listening to this my blood pressure can't help but drop a few points.

That was beautiful, Snowy. Eric Henderson played that classic smooth as icing on a cake. Nice. Thanks, for posting.

Oh yah!!! One of my "go to's" as well.
I know it's not the most well received thing to say for some...but I actually prefer Hatchet's version over Allman's.

Nice to have the Little River Band here, Arjay. Thanks! Now I can set aside their great cassette for awhile. :D

LOL! I still have a nice little collection of cassettes (and a double cassette deck) that I refuse to let go of. Hardly ever play them....but if I want to, they're there.

A youngster or a cool old fart would say, "I don't know" even if they did. But, old audiophiles like to hang on to some pride and pass on the vibe as a courtesy and to pay homage to the tape gods. But, before I tell ya, you need to have some tapehead cleaner, and a pencil for rewinding. :D
It's a little square box with two wheels surrounded by a plastic ribbon. If you go to a wrecking yard you'll find some stuck in a radio. :P They're especially fun when the music slows down to a crawl in cold weather unless you have a speed control like I had on my Californian Concord deck. On top of that, you might be lucky to get one of those mass produced ripoff poor quality pirate cassettes or one with abrasive tape that will shred your tape heads prematurely so you can treat yourself to a new deck. Not long ago I had to get a dual deck from Stateside since Canada didn't have any per se.

I recently inherited my late brother's 3 head programmable cassette deck. Not as slick as digital, but it's sweet . . . and, noticing Walkmans and decks in the music stores, alongside record players and turntables, cassettes are making a limited comeback like LPs. After a century of records, tapes of lost or damaged records, and a slew of material only recorded to tapes (including demos and many live to tape performances), there are tons of available and interesting recordings that will never get to the digital formats that have yet to mature with stability.

There's plenty more where this comes from:

FSB
Of course, I use digital too; but, my guess is once a digital format is replaced with substantial improvements, it won't make a comeback. Good luck finding that digital player yet alone a recorder or compatible software if it does. MP3 s may become tomorrow's 78 s. On that note, do I transfer my tapes to digital or back up my digital to tape?

Well a Luddite's music format deserves a Luddite's music. Break out the incense and the roach clip......

Like......groovy, man!

I'm all mellow now, Arjay. I seem to remember that great song and I'm going to record it so I won't forget it.

Dang! Tape jam x"&$!&?! Can you hang on to it for a couple of hours while I fix it?

Sincerely,
Analogue Luddite
with digital skills. :P

Man oh man! That was absolutely outa the park scrumptious, Arjay. Those axes were in perfect sync with tone and harmony.
Orleans is definitely Still The One. :D
