Man oh man, the hits just keep on comin'. Nice.

Digby Jones had me in a trance. I could smell the salt air, hear the waves, feel the sand between my toes, and taste the Pina Coladas, SBLS. I didn't want to snap out of it. Then again, it preceded 3 more excellent choices. Thanks!

Along comes Stratmansteve with a different take on chillin'. All good. Alan Jackson is a favourite artist of a good friend of mine, and Buffet brings out the Parrot Head in me. Great song and video that makes me wanna beer when the Coladas and Hurricanes run out. At this rate the bar will be empty.
I'm guessing a square grouper is either one ugly fish or a male groupee with a lack of musical taste. Actually it refers to a bale of marijuana dumped by ship or plane. 8)

SCORE!

Square Grouper -- It dates back to the '70s and '80s when Jupiter Inlet was a rural outpost. Weed smugglers used the waterway to bring in their goods. They would drop their load of marijuana bales into the water when the Coast Guard appeared.

No need for any of that from where I grew up. BC bud was and/is everywhere, and a lot of disgruntled people would cry if it were tossed in the brink.

Mind you some real ugly stuff does arrive from offshore, mostly from Asia. I met a Mountie who told me the scariest thing is boarding a ship or boat for inspection only to find the boat valves and booby traps are engaged to sink the craft while they are on it!

Crikey! 311 was great. I really enjoyed that. Great song all around with a dynamite mix to boot! Thanks, SBLS.

Danny Gatton's version of a great tune (Harlem Nocturne) is definitely one of the best, if not the best, version(s) I have ever heard. Thanks, for that, Mike. :D
The organ reminded me of Jimmy McGriff who is laid back on this one with the Hank Crawford Trio:

I just never grow tired of piano pieces by Erik Satie. Liona Boyd did a guitar version of Gymnopedie number one.

lots of great songs!
in summer I like to sit on the porch with headphones on listening to some Antonio carlos jobim. I just love the smoothness of the bossa nova style, an it cheers me up when I hear it.

Glad you're enjoying the songs, Phreddybee. Thanks, to all who took time out to contribute with the variety of posts submitted here.

This isn't bossa nova; but, I think you and others will enjoy it. This is one of the most beautiful productions my eyes have ever seen, and I've seen a lot (some of which never reached an audience). Enjoy:

The Gipsy Kings

Anything by Sade is an obvious chill; but, she makes it fuzzy and warm. So thanks, Rollie.
