Dang! I thought I had ya. :P
Raymond Burr (Perry) was a Westcoaster, and I think that helps the series to still be popular on the coast. I'll have to do a marathon of catching up next time I'm in Vancouver.

I see my Perry Mason episodes on METV. Twice a day!!! 9:00 AM, and 11:30PM!!! Now that's entertainment.

Attack and Capture - The Story Of U-505.

When I was a kid my Dad who was in the Canadian Navy at the time, took my brother and I to Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry. There was the U-505 which I later walked through with my wife many years later. That was a treat because my father was in a well documented fierce WW II battle when his destroyer HMCS Assiniboine purposely rammed and sank U-210 in 1942 rescuing the crew. I am thinking of giving inherited photos of those boats and crew to a Naval Reserve museum. Long story short, the photos exist elsewhere, but I have reasons to believe I have the originals.

In the 60s I later found myself tied up beside the USS Burrfish which was in loan as the HMCS Grilse. A school chum of mine tried to talk me into joining the crew. I didn't take him up on the offer, since I was more familiar with the Canadian Navy specialized in anti-sub warfare, and he made many trips to Hawaii after that. So my hat's off to the brave submariners out there. The U-505 is a great story both as a US Navy accomplishment, and as a historical museum piece capturing the Enigma coding device. Very cool.

I found out the old tv series Silent Service is on YouTube for those wishing to check it out. Now where did I put my baking soda sub?

Good one, Arjay. Thanks, for the laughter. I totally got it. I almost choked on the frogman while chewing the cellophane wrapper apart.
