Did you see the part when they appraised me, Paul? Didn't amount to a lot. But, they did say I was old and an original.

I'm watching a passenger get man handled by authorities and being dragged from a domestic United Airlines' plane.

CNN reported that the paid customer was randomly bumped for an employee, and it wasn't pretty. This will be all over the Net and news for some time. There's a lot to be said for walking. :P

I'm 45, so I'm not exactly a spring chicken, either. :P The funny thing is all of the toys I had as a kid are worth money these days, like those Star Wars figures. I wish I'd known that back then. The only thing I still have is my comic books. My sister found them when she cleaning out the garage when they were packing up to move out of Florida. She's suppose to ship them to me when they get settled in North Carolina. Either that, or I might come down there to visit. It's only a 10 hour drive from where I live. I haven't seen those in over 30 years.

A few years back my Mom sent me a box of my long forgotten Dinky toys which I sold for less than I could have at another time. Funny how some toys come and go with values changing amongst generations. Things like lead soldiers for example. Then those valuables need a buyer willing to part with the cash value. Things like Star Wars and Hot Wheels seem to hold up pretty well but the computer generation is slowly changing things.

Great that you have the comics, Paul. The older they get the better. I lived in a naval base as a kid and my dad had lots of leftover ones brought home from new recruits that left them behind. I used to go door to door with a wagon asking if there were any kids wanting to trade. The jumbo ones were traded at one for two or three regulars. Classics were really collectable. I remember scrambling to get the first 3D comics. Best of all was sending away for all the cool mail order stuff advertised (like decoder rings, a bag of plastic soldiers, balsa planes, yo-yos and more). My dad used to be an enthusiast telling me about the artists involved. Later in life, when I first got married, my wife and I would pickup whistle dogs before the Dubs at the end of our street was closed. Then we'd pickup some comics af the local convenience store and make a night of it. She with her Little Dot, Richie Rich, and Betty and Veronica. Me with Turok, Mystery and Horror comics.

Wish I had my Mickey Mantle, Sandy Koufax, and Yogi Berra card collection today. :(
Enjoy the comics, Paul.

The X-ray glasses and the ventriloquism lessons were the best!

You're right. Arjay. Classics.

I was gonna add that, but I could never get those X-ray glasses to work, and I could only throw my voice about 2 inches. :?
Oh, well. At least I pumped up to look like the guy who didn't get sand kicked in his face. :P
