The Impeachment Hearings on Fox. I think I can only stand about 10 more minutes of this nonsense. I try not to take sides and be open-minded but where is this going? Trump will never be impeached by the Senate and it creates more division in our country.

Totally agree, Marky.

I tend to watch congress on CSPAN, because there is less opinion presented. Not completely without opinion, just less.

I mentioned USMCA previously, but only as an example.

I'd just like to see them do anything productive, instead of wasting time and money.
Term limits are looking pretty good to me right about now.

Same feelings on this side of the border, I doubt my lifetime will see that though. You just can’t teach the kids anything. I use BBC and CPAC for similar reasons you use CSPAN, vinyl. Again not perfect, but better. Personally, I think witnesses should be isolated a day before, during, and after the hearings. I also think opening statements should be removed from the process. As Dragnet said, “Just the facts, Ma’am”. :P
Marky, as to your question where it is going. I have a feeling New York is not far away from the courts. For those who haven’t noticed, nothing has come of that yet. It is is in rotation like the rest of the fine run wheel. New York appears to be a hubbub of commotion with a lot of players on the bench. Sometimes being too close to the action makes one miss the action around you. As an NHL cameraman I was taught to look outside from where my main concentration was from.

We have our problems here too, but the process is seldom to none in the public eye. Different systems to be sure. One thing is the same, however. There are too many lawyers and educators in government. It shows with these hearings. It shows in most political arenas around the free world. They all like the camera as it works well for egos and elections. They all chose regarded (notice I didn’t say highly) professions, and they usually didn't major in politics or the media, and yet here they are running our affairs, hearings, and the world, and, questionably, not great at any of them.

Hmm. No wonder we are overloaded with long winded repeated ballyhoo from professionals used to carrying on. This gathering of professionals historically continues on with more and more investigations, research, and meetings that incessantly rehash earlier findings. This supports more than enough workers to do the same. We even have systems that take time to analyze the efficiency of this and the end results. So much for that.

Maybe, it’s time to change the qualifications for public office, the courts, and the schools.

Think of it this way. Our courts are backlogged with legal experts, we have students sleeping in class or leaving from boredom except when the dedicated teacher is efficient and good at the job and gets to the point gathering interest and results along the way, and when the odd politician gets things done in a timely matter. All of these fine individuals put their career second to the care and concern for those they serve and the job at hand,

Of course, better hirings will never happen simply with a popularity vote. Why change things? These much needed services might be downsized and work better, but that would be boring, huh?
On many things, I believe in old school. Nothing new here in the Forum. I’m like others here though. When it comes to guitars and amps, a lot of new school thinkers hang on to the vintage gear choices out there. Some are modern all the way, and others mix and match.

I think the technology could serve us well in the legal, educational, and political systems today. In fact I’d be willing to bet on it. It certainly will be embraced in the future out of necessity and design.
Incidentally, Canada has the largest population of Ukrainians (many of them here in Winnipeg), and the hearings are certainly of interest,

Boy! I’m old. I can remember when Saturday morning cartoons were my favourite things to watch on TV.

I agree, vinyl, that CSPAN is less opinionated and I read the BBC News every morning for a fresh take on the news. I wish we had a Fact channel here in the U.S.. A channel that only reports what happened, with no spin. I think it would be nice if they would let us form our own opinions.

Today I think I'll watch Bozo The Clown reruns.
