My team Hamilton Tiger Cats finally broke the curse of the Calgary Stampeders. It took eight years!
30 - 23

Earlier this year they piled up 64 - 14 over their rival the Toronto Argonauts.

There’s a new sheriff in town, and they are first place in the East division. :D

That sucks! Happens here often with split (east/west) ownership and programming or listing changes. This usually comes in the middle of the night with no prior announcement. I guess it has to happen some time; but, it’s a pain for nighthawks especially in the middle of a show. If it’s a short disturbance you just hope you weren’t watching some program that was wound back because that’ll be gone and it’ll return in real time with current coverage.

If I hadda known, you could have used my old rabbit ears left over from the FM tuner, Glenn.

When cable was introduced in my old home we actually got credited back at times for inconvenience. Sometimes, it was in the form of a pay TV movie or two. Mind you, cable cost a truckload less with fewer specialty channels than it has today.

Congrats to you and your team, FSB!

I've been watching some new episodes of Ancient Aliens.

Thanks, Marky.

I moved a lot and had several teams to root for. In this city the Winnipeg Blue Bombers rule and were, for a lengthy time, city owned so the city gets behind them still in a big way. They are a quality club with a lot of championships. I used to work the games as several co-workers now do.

Hard to root or dress for an opposing rival; but, I had to choose instead of changing teams every time I moved. The Ti-Cats are one of the original four teams before the CFL started and they were there in the beginning of the Grey Cup. They go back to 1869 in different configurations. My father’s best friend also babysat me when I was a sprout, and he was both a Canadian and American All-Star several times . . . so the Ti-Cats of steeltown (with characteristics of the Pittsburgh Steelers) won out.

The Bombers (when they don’t play the Cats) also get my vote. One team in the east and one in the west as the league division is divided. My nephew here and I are hoping for a championship with both teams. The Bombers have yet to lose a game this year, and they meet with the Cats next who are on a roll with one of their best ever teams so we have our fingers crossed.
I also have a couple of NFL and college faves. Some old faves, and some more recent. All different and all good. :D I played junior ball for one year, but in the next I couldn’t play middle guard because I didn’t make the weight requirement, no matter how much I ate. I shoulda tried out 10 years later. :P
But, all in all, my favourite sport is seeing how many name letters can fit on a jersey, and whether I can pronounce it.
