I’m checking out the latest security requirements for air travel since the government website said new detectors are or will be installed to ease for us and the authorities the boarding procedure.

This is very cool. 8)

Okay, that’s for ground level. Now if only they could keep the aircraft in the air, that would be nice.

FSB

That was very cool, FSB. One concern I have is, if they can be controlled by a remote computer, how hack proof are they? IMO, nothing is truly hack proof these days.

I agree, Marky. If I ever win the lottery that I seldom play, the last plane I fly in will be to an exotic island with a private beach, a boat, and my guitar. :D Okay. Maybe to a fly-in log cabin in the mountains with a dock, a boat, a fireplace, and my guitar. I’ll have to set up some security though.

Just watching the usual stuff with the media. There’s plenty of whatnot going on. Seems that politics are competing with reality shows. I find the hoopla exhausting. I’m not sure what is real now.

Earlier today CNN ran an in depth look at the following story, and we Canucks know all too well how real (and how close) this is:

What the preceding video didn’t show is how advanced the Russians are with their winter optimized and motorized armament and vehicles. Impressive. I’m sure we’ll be hearing and seeing much more about this challenge and arctic claim in the near future.

It don’t shake me though. I live in the ’Peg, and I also have a toque. :P

Power and money seem to be the motivating forces of most governments and people, as we humans scurry around the surface of this Earth like a virus. Planting a flag on the ocean floor doesn't impress me. All you have to do is drop a properly weighted flag from the surface, and there you go. A child could do it. Thanks for the interesting video, FSB. Have toque. Will travel. :)

Wait’ll Ivan sees how we handled that rinky dinky flag. We enlisted the Inuit to place a toque and a six pack of Canadian beer on that ocean floor. Phtt! :P
