I’m watching the city construction crew preparing to rip up our boulevard and new cement street both of which were layed down last summer. :?
Now new waterlines and plastic composite sewers are being installed. Apparently, as I was told, because various city departments don’t talk to each other. Taxes were raised twice last year, and if that happens again because someone thkrewed up, they better run for the hills and there ain’t any.

Considering there is a freeze on road building except for major thoroughfares, that’s called lucky, as long as the foundations don’t get damaged.

We have a major cement plant here. I wonder if that had anything to do with it? Hmmm.

I remember them repairing your boulevard last summer. Geez, is this an annual thing? I hope they don't wake you up too early again.

I'm watching some car videos on YT.

Thanks. I sure hope not, Marky. They started just before 7am this morning by dragging front end loader buckets up and down the street and dropping material along the boulevard. Road repair is a favourite pastime and conversation here with potholes, extreme weather considerations, railway restrictions with their historical land ownership and, in general, poor planning, cheap design, redirected funding, and make work projects. We do better developing hockey rinks, building leaky stadiums, and constructing a bridge to nowhere. I think I saw a cement truck with darkened windows.

I remember my uncle and his community in Edmonton going nose to nose with his city when they we’re going to add a highway affecting their nice homes and value. The city compromised and built it over top.
In the end, we’ll have new sewage pipes, new waterlines, new gas lines, and new street lighting with some new sidewalks and repair and probably an annual bill to go with the coming increased school taxes, neither having an education or kids here. It’ll sure look purty though. Maybe, they’ll plant flowers afterwards.
At least we’ll be entertained watching the other guys work.

I've been watching BBC News. Mostly because I don't know as much about Brexit as I should.

I caught up with it the other night, vinyl. I think the world for variety of reasons are watching it. Winners and losers in any case. Pretty interesting.

Pip pip. Jolly good show. Eh, wot?
