Nightly Business Report

Major League baseballer, LA Dodger, 3rd baseman/shortstop Manny Machado signs a 300 million dollar10 year deal with the San Diego Padres. That should buy a pretty nice man cave.

He’ll have no trouble finding comfort should he want to watch E-Sports video gaming like the estimated 454 million fans bringing in over1 billion dollar revenue which is expected to come with more than a 25% increase and multiple major media involvement.

I think Manny and his baseball brothers are safe due to the nature of the game; although, it can be played electronically. Robotically is a stretch. Soccer is fairly well distributed, and so my guess is that, while hockeybisn’t going away, Bettman and his cronies are in the crosshairs for a battle. Let the games begin.

Like usual, this country will probably lay protective media coverage on the consumer, and introduce E-Sports to restrictions (unless the NHL gets preferential dibs). Hey, all this folly may turn out to be a bonus for amateur sports, or amateur gamers. :wink:
