That's a good one, Paul. It's the one with the evil, red hovering robot Max, right?

NCIS for me.

Yeah, it's that one. You know, I actually haven't seen it since I was a kid, that I remember. They played it on Turner Classic Movies about a month ago, which I recorded, and now got around to watching.

I think it was a curse because they both wore red and black. Phht!

I’m taking it like a true football fan since Calgary and Ottawa both earned their stripes. They could have been a lot nicer though.
What’s that overused saying? “Next year” cough cough. :?

Sorry to hear that your home teams lost, FSB. Being from Chicago and a Cubs fan, I'm well aware of the saying, "next year".

You mean this great team!?

I’m glad you and the fans got to see it happen. I sure enjoyed it, and I know even a lot of the opposition was. Harry Carey was smiling from above that day. Too bad he couldn’t have announced it.

Great video, thanks for putting a smile on my face. That was some day alright. My friends and I went to Cub games all the time when we were kids. In those days it was ok for kids to take the bus to the L train to Wrigley Field. The good old days! :)

Nice one, Paul. Jefferson Airplane live. I've got it playing in the background. :)

Great post, Paul. Huge Slick fan here.

Right now the 92nd Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is on. It reminds me of the parades I played in with the Navy band. For the ‘67 Calgary Stampede parade complete with Wilf Carter (Montana Slim) we gathered all the Navy bands in Canada, stayed and practiced in Currie army barracks, led the parade (as one of the band’s 16 snare drummers) in high 80° weather, and later after a short bus ride marched down the cooler main street of Banff where the music bounced off the surrounding Rocky Mountains for the tourists and the cameras. Now that was out of character for the National Park, the elk the bears, and the great gang at the Legion that took us in and provided lunch. Everybody loves a parade. :D

Hope you’re enjoying the day.

FSB

The best thing about leading a parade is the horses follow you. There’s no stepping out of line in a band.

The morning snooze. Pretty entertaining. Everything from reports about mould on recently introduced legal marijuana to apps that are coming to my community so we can scan grocery items in the aisle and make a direct payment without having to stand in a lineup even at a self-checkout. This is by the biggest grocer in the country who has ownership of other former major players.

There goes the touch screen technician with the cashier. (Don’t take your eye off the cart, and remember you’ll pay more taxes for infrastructure, etc. as everyone’s customers’ and workers’ revenue are depleted). Convenience comes with a price that shows up later. Too bad there’s too much interest or, perhaps, not enough.

It has been reported that Vancouver already has commited to being a world leader in clean energy, air, and whatnot for a large city. They are well on their way as I have seen and experienced. Our illustrious leader of the country has been shaking hands with Google and Microsoft. amongst others to push AI and automation here in Canada at an accelerated rate with the idea that we get an early firm foothold on the inevitable future.

I’m ready for a cabin in the hills, and a General Store as long as the FedEx or UPS driver can deliver. Oh, yeah . . . and as long as I can watch the latest snooze to see how things are working out in this crazy mixed-up world, and football on the flat screen. Now all I need to do is convince Mrs. FSB, and that’ll work as much as it did when I was ready to boat full time.
