The Avanti, Toronado and Cord are all beautiful. I drooled over a 1937 Cord, like the one below, for about a year at the Volo Antique Car Museum until it was sold.

The coupe looks very different. I love the Cord's supercharged V8, hidden headlights with hand cranks on the dash and its sleek sophisticated look.

I sure do remember adding gauges to one of my cars and the clocks that never ran for long.

Please don't get me started on Aston Martin. It is my favorite too.

Nice! I love the Cord and the Auburn is up there too. Stepping down, the Model A is cool too (the ‘32 deuce needs no introduction). A guy I worked with had a pristine yellow one handed down from his grandfather, and he drove it daily to work in the summer.

Every time a salesman at the dealership tries to upgrade me to a newer vehicle I tell him I’m more interested in older cars. (especially at older prices).

I’m watching Manitoba’s latest F4 tornado and the damage it did at and around lakeside. Injuries, homes and trailers destroyed or damaged but, fortunately, no fatalities.

There are new emergency warnings available; however, there is no cell coverage in many areas to address that. You’d think we had mountain ranges to deal with. Hearings and promises all over the place.

This is not surprising, considering that crank phones were still in use up north when I went fishing in the late 60s.

Time to bring out the soup cans and a ball of string.
