Lately I've been watching a lot of beat making tutorials on YouTube. I've been thinking about mixing various hip hop/ neo soul programming and production with jazz composition and arranging techniques.

In our standard guitar tuning, as you know, A above middle C is 440Hz. I was listening to a video of 432Hz meditation/relaxation music. "A=432Hz—also known as “Verdi's A,” after composer Giuseppe Verdi, who preferred the 432 standard—is said by advocates to be in tune with the laws of nature and mathematically consistent with the universe." I don't know about that but I did fall asleep. :)

Well, that was a refreshing and useful bit of info., Marky. It explains a lot of things. Thanks!

We used to hear 400 Hz tone all day long for the beginning of audio or video recording (as you are probably aware of that standard). 400 Hz frequency was probably chosen to keep us stressed and to prevent us from falling asleep at 432 Hz in a busy studio control room.  Om

Not a fan of American Idol. Usually I let Mrs. FSB watch it alone. I suspect there’s more to the contest than what appears on the stage. Hey! That’s okay. There’s nothing new in TV they say, and it is a show that follows a pattern.

But, this year I like the judges and their input. Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie. I think they upped the credibility.

I don’t know if the music director changed or what, but I think the song choices have improved. Poor ratings might have improved all of this. So here I am giving AI a chance with Mrs. FSB. :P

Well that sounds like a nice night with the Mrs, FSB. I'm not a fan of AI either but being with your Mrs makes it alright. :)
I just finished watching "Conor McGregor: Notorious". Good movie about the great Irish MMA fighter.

I watch that and the Antiques Roadshow. I hate it when I see what I once had having slipped through my fingers. Even worse, is seeing what I know to be old while a young ‘un finds it new.
