I forgot to mention, when I was watching those random Beatles videos last night, I found this one:

I thought that was pretty cool, since it is one of my all time favorite rock movies, if you want to call it that. I never get tired of watching it, either. If it's on Turner Classic Movies and I happen to see it, I'll wind up watching it.

Great history on the Beatles, Paul. As a drummer I knew the Pete Best story early on, but not as extensive as portrayed on the video. A lot of revealing stuff was thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks, for posting those videos.

Right now I am watching Bitchin’ Rides winning a major concours judging of their Nomad, and I feel kind of bad that in ’93 I didn’t own a body shop to restore a similar ‘55 Chevy Nomad that I was on the hunt for. I could have bought it, but the amount of rust didn’t help even though it ran, Hurst Dual Gate and all. Somebody surely bought It.

When I asked the owner why he was selling it, he opened a garage door to reveal a famous show car with a wooden beer barrel back end to which he said, “My wife is pregnant and one has to go. Which one would you choose?” I knew he meant the cars. We had a laugh over that amongst his Hot Rod magazine and Car Craft 6 foot tall trophies beside front page photos of the same rod.

Factoid: Replacement Nomad tailgates are rare because they rusted out and good ones are snapped up for a price. So rare, in fact, that Pontiac Safari tailgates are often the replacement. Safaris, arguably, are more luxurious with their trim for the most part, but this family version took a back seat to the Safari so Safari tailgates are sacrificed for the more desirable Chevy. Next time you see a cherry Nomad you might just be looking at a Chafari.
