I’m surfing the channels with
New Year’s celebrations from all over.

CNN is doing segments from Denver and the theme from Colorado is Cannabis. Live coverage shows various methods used to get high with marijuana, and how MJ can bring in the New Year with a puff, pass, & paint party atmosphere. The times they are a changing. Next year’s agenda and coverage should be interesting.
YMMV

Watching the North American weathercast. Whether it’s simply climate change or global warming, one thing is certain . . . global warming is seasonal. We’re all freezing in this part of the world at this time of year.

This would be a good time to invest in a toque factory. :P

A great game between Georgia and Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl.

Wow! What a game. Blankenship makes a 55 yard field goal - the longest in Rose Bowl history.

45/45 with 55 seconds left in 4th quarter has now become the first overtime game in the history of the Rose Bowl!

- Now double OT at 48/48

- Sooners get blocked on a field goal

- QB Michel immediately comes back with a TD to win.

Final: Georgia 54 Oklahoma 48.
Not bad for a team that was 17 points down midway into the game.

A third record. Highest Rose Bowl score ever!

Congrats Bulldogs.

"Aileen - The Life and Death of a Serial Killer" (documentary)

Charlize Theron won the Oscar for her portrayal of Aileen Wuornos in the 2003 movie "Monster" ‧ Drama/Crime film ‧ 1h 49m.

They are both on Amazon Prime and, if you are going to watch them, please watch the movie first. It's amazing how well Charlize Theron played Aileen.

My movie watching comes from VIdeo On Demand that includes many movie channels with the option of Pay Per View. I also have several free streaming movie and informative entertaining channels from my stock included TV apps. One TV has a different set of streaming movie options, and the tablet and phone can stream our subscribed cable choices, and we have the Net like we all have available on those things. I believe it’s not if but when some of those free services will eventually be pay for services (either by trade laws, legislation, copyright, monopoly ownership, company sellouts, or other inventive ways).

Netflix is an app/service that I haven’t needed so far. YMMV. Now that the scuttlebutt is that Amazon, Apple and/or Disney (and maybe others) are contemplating a buyout for some or all of Netflix, I wonder if the Netflix app will still work as is in smart TVs without full Internet service built in. Some have questions about iTunes involvement. Hmm?!

I remember YouTube doing a similar Sayonara on some sets when changes were made. I can’t say if that was changes in agreements, or technological incompatabities that could not or would not be updated and fixed. All I know is that changes made the app useless (unless your set was a fairly recent build).

I’ll have to watch for the new Netflix outcome. :?
