Something really exciting. A repetitive video of salt water aquarium tropical fish on my big screen. Everybody I know has the cable tv Christmas fireplace, so I thought I’d check this out. I’ve had several and plan to eventually get a fireplace, yet I can’t say that I ever had a favourite log; however, I think I’m getting fond of one of those video fish.

Speaking of watching and hypnotizing, long ago I read a story about some father who used to watch his small son go across the street from their home. There the child was awe struck about dump trucks and bulldozers, and the local construction in general. A boarded up safety fence was put up only to find a caring construction crew who drilled a hole at the kid’s height level so he could watch their work daily.

Well. as if that wasn’t enough, the child’s father got a brilliant idea. He thought that if his child was mesmerized so must other kids be that way watching this and that. Well, as it happened, he had a video camera, and he then proceeded to record the construction through the hole to show his son and his friends (making it available whenever they wanted - good weather or bad). Soon other videos of other things, like fire engines and ambulances and more of similar interest became videos. After some marketing the rest is history. Perhaps, that’s how the aquarium video came to be.

That's very cool. What a good father. :) Thanks for the story.
