Pretty interesting, Marky. Thanks, for the post.

I met the Dali Lama a couple of times through work. I really don’f know how the mind works (nobody else does either apparently). It was a strange but refreshing feeling that I write off as a subconscious knowledge of his accomplishments and the mystique. His charisma and impression creates an aura (YMMV)(and no I am not a follower, nor do I get star struck often; but, since then I have seen a fantastic large traditional sand mandala (being made over several days only to be quickly destroyed by Tibetans at an art gallery near my home on the coast). One needn't be spiritual to take it in, and I highly recommend catching one of these events if the opportunity arises. Aum

I am not a follower either, FSB. I came across the song and found it moving, so I passed it along. I've never come close to meeting the Dali Lama and I think it's very cool that you did. :)

One of my favorites. I think we have the same movie collection, Glenn. :D
Right now I'm watching my freshly detailed pickup sparkling in the sun.

I’ll bet your pickup looks good, Marky. Just make sure all that sunny sparkling doesn’t burn your retinas. :P
I haven’t watched the Big Bang for some time, and so that is what I’m watching now. It never disappoints with the great writers. :D

It was on a cable channel. I don't have that one on a home movie. Christine came on after Silence Of The Lambs.

Thanks, Marky. I found the DVD had 3 versions of component output settings all of which were a variety of workable selections under different circumstances apparently. The projector had one setting and the cable box had no setting required. The receiver monitor outs with OSD were confusing. Standard Def worked but that defeated the whole project. HDMI is certainly easier. But,where’s the challenge in that? Kinda cool that we can all collect useless cables for the good new ones though. (I’m waiting for high rez holographs)
I was beginning to think the component ins for my TV were blown by a video amp in the loop. So, I grabbed several
component cables in case there was a cable problem, and I worked it out with the DVD player and a different TV to prove the DVD and cables could work, but the components on the TV and box still were a question. I then figured it out once the projector was setup properly. Then I tried a direct connection before going to and from the receiver. Voila! Now if only I could figure out whether the volume on the remote will work with the Toslink cable box connection (I understand that for digital Toslink is on full throughout, and the receiver pre/out to an amp likely is too. Doesn’t look promising. That’ll give me something to do.
Life is great! You’re right, Marky. I’ve seen Gladiator before in stereo with a sub. This is MUCH better. :D
FSB

I think I’ll catch up on the last two Star Wars. Then it’s on to GOT and The Vikings (no chick movies allowed in the man cave). :P
Whoo Hoo!
