CFL game:

Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Montreal Alouettes barn burner of a game with a tie 23-23 hitting the goal post creating a field goal in the last 9 seconds causing a shoot out OT 31-31and then a second shoot out OT with Bombers win 34-31.

Montreal's Nik Lewis made CFL's alltime leader tonight in receptions 1,030. Not as much as the great Jerry Rice's 1,549 in 303 games, but with 241 games (best calculated), and 3 downs instead of 4, nothing to scoff at, and he's not finished.

Still, Jerry Rice is a better dancer.

I wonder if the Presidents are brought up to snuff on the realities of Roswell, New Mexico.

If they are it shouldn't be too long before we hear sumpin' from the current Prez.

This is cool too, Marky. I caught it late into the show. Hope it comes around again.

PBS:
Farthest- Voyager in Space

Some of the best footage I've ever seen. Incidentally, most if not all images are taken in black and white for professional (ie: NASA) space photography, and then they are coloured. This allows better definition for analysis.

Hurricane Harvey!
Stay safe everyone. This looks to be a long ride and bumpy for many.

I was watching the Hurricane reports earlier. I've been through some bad weather through out the years, and my prayers go out to everyone in the region. They may be in for a rough night, and day, from what the say. Image

Excellent gif and comment, Glenn.

I've had my share of severe weather. Floating cars, shut in at work for 3 winter days, sheltered in a Fargo hotel basement with FEMA and the Army waiting for a tornado in the vicinity, and fed by Navy cooks who knew we were in for rough Atlantic seas so the food was chosen to ease any crew sickness. We had a meteorologist on board, but that didn't change the severe weather. I spent exhausting hours on the wheel. Lake Ontario's storm on a sea going tug (now used for oil rigs) was the only time I got seasick though. All that and I can appreciate that I am a lucky one. I wish the best for others.

In the end, all the preparedness helps, but Mother Nature has it's own agenda. Unfortunately.

Thankfully, this part of the world has resources and plenty of experienced support.

For those affected -
Keep the faith.
