Either currently or past or want to?

If so what were your experiences?

I've done it off and on just for fun and would do it again. :D

I do it a few times a week.

I live along some high bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River. The other side of the street is a City Park and we get all sort of joggers, bikers, dog walkers going by all day.

There's a park bench 75' north from my house looking straight upriver, and if the weather's nice, I often go there for my practice.

Twice I've had people come up and drop a dollar into my case... :)

cheers!

In my youth, a family member tried to make me, and that has put a mental block in place. It entered the short list of things I will not do if my life depended on it.

That said, I enjoy hearing good buskers. Too bad I never carry cash anymore. Fewer and fewer people do.

Lots of incredible raw talent we might have missed otherwise.

I pay with cash whenever possible. They can track and locate you through your credit and debit card transactions.

True, but they can also track you through cash withdrawn from an ATM and spent in a store that registers the bills. Or through accessing web sites (like this one). Or through your mobile phone. Even the built-in mobile phone in modern cars that you don't have a subscription for and is only for automated SOS calls if you crash.

And, of course, moving around with cash has its own problems, like being robbed by muggers or cops.

You are correct. That is why I never use ATM's, get cash at the same bank, don't carry a cell phone and drive a pre 1990 vehicle. I never said they don't know where I live, so if they want to track me through this site they will find me at home. No Facebook, Twitter (root word twit), ect. Since as you say no one carries cash, robbery is a unlikely event and since I am big and scary looking most would be robbers would avoid me and I have a ccw

IMHO all these precautions are virtually useless in the modern day. Most every thing we do or own has a registration number and is traceable by authorities or criminals...

Want to be safe? Carry a gun legally and be aware and sure of your rights as a citizen. We don't really have anything else we can do.
