Ive used this tuner app, seemed good, also a Korg GA-40, but now just use the built in one in my Fender Mustang III amp. I know strobes are theoretically more precise, but I doubt the added precision adds up to much when you factor in the variability of how even the most precise pro frets through a number... I set my intonation based on my real playing position and actually fretting like I'm playing... you will get a lot of variability when you check the precise freq. you are getting. Run through a Pentatonic scale and then check your intonation on the last note... there is going to be scatter no matter how carefully you do it... or maybe I just suck. Anyway, just trying to say I think many people get too hung up on *precision* when the final *accuracy* doesn't support it.

You're so right mh2000. Nothing's perfect, and that goes for intonation as well.

I intone by ear. Still find it the most accurate way. You don't hear notes with your eyes.
I like iStrobe. It's quick and easy. And like I say, I've been using it for two or three years now. It's very handy always having a tuner with a nice big display in your pocket
