A friend of mine bought for few $ a great Peterson app and accessories to make guitar intonation.

Used it for years, never bothered with the plug in thing. Doesn't need it. Picks up an electric guitar perfectly just by putting the phone on the guitar

Thanks, stratele52 for the post, and to you Niki for informing us about the viability and cable.

Cheers!

For intonation direct connect may help, just for tuning maybe not .

The Polytune app for iPhone works really good.

Not accurate for intonation.
It is like a mexican or Squier (?) guitar and Peterson is a Custom Shop guitar.

My post is to show a high end tuner available at low cost.

I've been using Cleartune for a few years and I'm very happy with it.
It's fairly accurate and sensitive and really easy to use.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

This is a nice and accurate iPhone turner from Fender, and it's free.

"Fender Tune"

Did you test it side by side with the one I talk about , the Peterson ?

Everybody know there are many apps or tuners for tuning. I'm not talking about those.

Not so many know Peterson tuner.

Boss has one for both iPhone and Android for $0, but it's skeueomorphic and the buttons don't work.

For strobe tuners for Android, Peterson's are crap - bad ports from Apple, expensive, and laggy. I recommend Adam Foster's "Stroboscopic Tuner", which is free with ads and $1.99 without:

But for adjusting intonation, I only trust my ear.
