I have a Tele Thinline that has a single Widerange bridge humbucker, one volume, and one tone. Both 250K pots and a capacitor. I want to rewire with just a single volume pot. Nice and simple. I used a 250K pot and no capacitor. Pickup, volume, output jack. There is now a grounding issue... It buzzes when Im not touching anything metal on the guitar. And the output seems super weak.. Not as full as it was with the volume, tone, capacitor. I have the brown wire as the hot to the volume in and the black and bare wire to the back of the pot. Bridge and Jack grounds are also to the back of the pot. Jack hot is the out of the pot. Third lug of the pot is bent over and soldiered to the back of the pot. Why is it having the buzz when I touch the metal? Why does it not sound as full as before?? Anyone help??
