I tried to log in to the Forum last night and for some unknown reason, it said my password isn't correct and I even reset it and it did the same thing!

Luckily, I was able to get on here through my iPhone, since I have the password automatically logged in with that. I suspect if I log out through here, I might have the same issue.

I'm hoping that this is some forum issue that will be resolved quickly and I'm not hacked somehow with my password changed. Well, if that's the case and people start getting spam from me, it's not my fault. :P

Anyway, as a precaution, I unsubscribe all topics and shut off PM's, in case I get screwed out of getting back in my account and wind up getting emails from things I can't respond to. I'm also wondering if anyone else has had the same issue? Hopefully, I won't wind up having to make a new account because this one is screwed up.

A whole bunch of us got into a pretty similar situation a couple of years ago when the look and feel of the forum was changed. I do still sometimes get accidentally logged out and have, on several occasions, had to try more than once to log back in. For me the issue usually is remembering to type my email address into the log-on screen rather than my username. If memory serves I think the dialogue box leaves you to believe either will work when, in actual fact, only the email address works. It's been a while though, so that may have changed since then. Does any of that sound like it might apply in your case?

Whatever the cause of the recent login glitch you experienced last night, I'm glad it was not excessively widespread. Between, my frequent Logins here for the Forums, occasional Fender gear Registration Account logins, infrequent Logins to the FUSE Online Community, plus the newer FenderConnect Beta site efforts, it can get crazy with the disruptions. Ultimately, Fender should, have a unified User Interface for all the resources. It may be well into 2017 before that consolidates.

Correct.

Under the previous forum protocols, either entry would log a user in but now it's limited to the member's registered e-mail address.

It went wanky on me too. Between the cellphone and the PC I could access my account and change the password. With or without password change I could enter the main Fender site, but nothing would allow my login to the Forum until later today.

Thanks, for your post, Paul. It alerted me that I was not alone with this. Nice to be back though.

Well, I was able to get in on my laptop just now. I just used my new password and got in. I guess it was some sort of forum glitch, since it looks like it happened elsewhere, besides me. Come to think about it, I've had this issue before with my name and password already saved in the queue when I clicked on it and it did the same thing, but it entered correctly the second time around.

Now my iPhone still has the old password, I assume since I didn't mess with it and it automatically logs in, so I don't know if I should mess with that or leave it be. I guess if I never manually log out on the phone it might not matter as long as I have access. Well, if it doesn't, I'll just put the new password in and hopefully I won't have an issue with that one.

That's good you could. So far, so good on my end, too.

That was odd that I could get into my account, etc. to do password changes, but not the forum. I changed the password, and it still wouldn't let me in.

Had the same issue on Tuesday.

I changed my password to my same password, which Fender confirmed, but no-joy.

I then emptied all my history, cookies, temp and thumbnail files... still no joy.

Suddenly Wed. morning, I signed-in without a single glitch.

No clue why this happened, but all's good for now...

cheers!

Same problem on Tue/Wed, depending on the time zone...
Contacted fender via the online chat, they (= "Bradley") answered to "send your information over to our web team", problem disappeared some time later. As a side note: I really like that chat service.

I wonder what that even was? It happened to a few of us on the same day, it seems.

It just happened again! I can't log in on my laptop because of that password issue, so I have to use my iPhone. What's going on with this thing?
