Thanks, for the Malofliy link, Paul. Interesting.

More than a hundred sustained objections and admonishments? Are they serious? The wonders of California courts never cease to amaze me. Not to say it's a bad thing, but California is one of the few states that allows a judge's position without completing undergraduate school or an accredited law school. Appointments are made with local bar association and political backing. Election by voters is another route. While this is the brief method. It is plain to see that California marches to the sound of a different drummer so small wonder that more than a hundred objections and admonishments are possible. Whether they are reasonable or the best approach is best left to a higher court unless it is painted with the same brush IMHO. Kowabunga dude

Note: Auto correction changed objection to adjustments earlier, sorry for not catching it Arjay.

Not to worry, FSB......there are still plenty of ambulances to be chased so I doubt that 'pinnacle of the legal profession' will be forced to stand in line at the local Salvation Army soup kitchen.

I agree Arjay. Good thing. They'd probably promote their role, beat on the cook, and critique the soup without tasting it, all in the sake of media coverage.

We should choose our lawyer wisely. When someone is representing you in a legal court, you want to make sure that you are dealing with the most competent and skilled person possible. So, pick your lawyer carefully, and this caution will pay off. Prepare some check points by considering useful reference on the internet or various other social media sites.

Welcome to the Forum, Joann.

Picking the best lawyer isn't always possible. Everyone can't afford Perry Mason. :P

Yeah, I've noticed Perry Mason and Jello go hand in hand around here. :P

Mr. Nylon is the Jello King.

I think he is secretly the owner because he has an endless supply of that wiggly stuff.

I'm going to get Paul Drake and Perry on the case. 8)

Della will call you for a witness, Paul. :P

Well, I did. :P I use to watch "Lawrence Welk" with them, too. That's even old for an old guy. :P Seriously, I like to watch the old movies on Turner Classic Movies. Stuff from the 30's and 40's, Humphrey Bogart and all of that. They had some really good stories and they didn't have to rely on CGI or any of that, either. I'm very familiar with that generation, anyway. My grandparents were even older than that. My grandfather was born in 1897 and grandmother was born in 1905, to start with. My dad was 40 when I was born, so I'm not typical of my generation, who's parents were usually Baby Boomers.

Okay, Paul. Charges have been dropped. Anybody forced to watch Lawrence Welk gets a pass. Anybody forced to watch Bobby Burgess the Mouseketeer dancer gets two passes.
I like old campy Russ Myer and Rock and Roll teen and delinquent, mystery, horror, pirate, science fiction, and space movies in particular. I also like, westerns and . . . aw, let's face it, a lot of the others. They're all more 'wunnerful' than bubble music. :P
I should talk. On a trip through Montana in '74, in a motel lounge upon closing, I ran into and jammed on the traps with musicians from this famous radio and movie 1920s, 30s, 40s. 50s, and continuing today orchestra. They were doing a bus trip to Hef's mansion in Chicago and decided to drop in to see their Montana friend who played the piano bar. The pianist asked me to hang in because he had friends coming over, and he'd like me to meet them.

Just like the great Lawrence Welk musicians, don't let their sweet music fool you. On their off hours they can play some pretty hot jazz. Boy, did Mrs. FSB and I have fun at 2:00am after driving 500 miles.

They're not Led Zepplin, though, and that's okay because I'm not John Bonham.

I also knew a first violinist of a well known symphony orchestra who used to wind down after hours with musicians from a big band (many of which were from the local NORAD band and were accomplished American and Canadian jazz musicians). The NORAD band members doubled up, and supported local bands and visiting artists and such. They would gather in a hideaway or club after working hours to Jam.

I kinda look at it this way. Just like any gig, there is the music you want to play for fun, and sometimes it is for experience, or mostly to put money on the table. Sometimes, it is just to put money on the table. If you get both - bonus. Hopefully, there will be more fun and haveto together.

It all can make for a better musician. IMHO.
