I can't believe no one has remembered, "Leave it to Beaver" or that old classic from "Father knows best". What about "The Flintstones?"

The theme to The Benny Hill Show is called "Yakity Sax," and Chet Atkins did a cool cover of it called "Yakity Axe." I'm trying to learn it, but being more of a rhythm/lead-rhythm player it'll take a bit, but I'll get there, eventually. The original Match Game theme song, Bert Kaempfert's "A Swingin' Safari," is one that I've nearly got arranged into a guitar instrumental (may need a second lead guitar part). Other TV themes that I like, in no particular order:

The Waltons
The Rockford Files
Sanfred & Son
Pink Panther (cartoon)
Cheers
Hill Street Blues
Good Times

Matt

One of the first bands that I ever played in, a showband, used to play 'The Flinstones' Theme' as a break song. The horn players sounded pretty good on it and had some fun with it too...yabba dabba doo.

I've been saying, over the decades, that the theme's for the Jetson's and Flintsones were some of the best arrangements ever for a television show. Great examples of early 60's jazz arrangements.

I always liked the Sopranos theme tune, I think it was by a band called The Alabama3. Exile on coldharbour lane, cool tune.
