And sadly it is just the beginning, many of the rock starts are hitting 70 years old, and time is doing it's work :(

I overheard one musician asking another his age.

He replied "In musician years, or normal years" - true story!

Wow, I'm going to have to unsubscribe to this thread. It's getting too morbid. :(

John Berry, guitar player and the original founder of Beastie Boys (back when they were a punk rock band - he left well before they transitioned to pop and hip-hop).

Thanks, for the heads up on this, Mike.

Sir Mack Rice composer and song writer of Mustang Sally, co-writer with Luther Ingram of Respect Yourself, another loss in the music world.

As for Winfield Scott Moore III, saying how great he was is as we all know. So, for all the riffs and chords I'll simply say thanks, Scotty. RIP.

Son of a gun. This year is crazy with the musicians leaving us. Pete was a great musician and had a great personality to boot. Thankfully, he graced us with his prescence a lot for our enjoyment. One of the greats.

I know that great jazz band in heaven will carry on the tradition with one more fantastic member. He will certainly be missed. R.I.P. Mr. Fountain.

Thanks, for the heads up on this, Mike.
