On Saturday I sold my Fender Hotrod Deville 212 amp so with the proceeds I bought this lovely 2006 Gibson SG Classic. I've been after one of these for a long time as SGs with P90s are very hard to find. As you all may know, I love Gibsons that have P90s. I only paid €550 for her and she came with a nice little case. She's missing a couple of knobs but I've ordered a complete set of Gibson replacements from Amazon.

You really don't have time to read this post, torresfan. I can hear your nice SG calling for you.

SGs are nice, and so are P-90s.
Does this one have the chunky neck? I love the chunky ones.

Anyhow, congrats!

If I've said it once I have said it a thousand times...EVERY guitarist needs a guitar with P90s! Nice score Torresfan, and I see you have already introduced this one to the rest of the family via the Couch!

It's a really chunky neck which suits me. It's somewhere between a 50s and 60s neck, really nice.

I like that too. The chunky neck on my SG is one of the reasons why it gets so much play time. It makes thumb fretting more comfortable, and the neck is better supported when not fretting, like when picking open strings or moving the hand. For me. YMMV

For classical style playing or shredding, I tend to pick a guitar with a thinner neck and larger scale, but I still love the feel of a good chunky SG. Krieger, Clapton, Iommi, Trucks... It didn't seem to slow them down noticeably! :)

Awesome guitar there--and I agree, P-90 pickups are da bomb...

Happy NGD!
