Hey Chet,

I remember Poison very well. Every Rose Has Its Thorns... They had some fun tunes, but I wouldn't listen to them today. They were right there with WASP, Cinderella, Motley Crue and the like.

But then I was not listening to Country Western back then like you were, so perhaps you could offer some of those classics.

Here are a few country artists to check out:

Becky Hobbs
Highway 101 w/Paulette Carlson
Kentucky Headhunters
Hank Jr
Travis Tritt
Charlie Pride
George Jones
Conway Twitty
Jim Reeves
Patsy Cline
Tanya Tucker
Vince Gil
Chet Atkins
Boots Randolph
Randy Travis
Eddie Arnold
Don't forget Roy Clark he could play guitar. Great electric and acoustc.

hey ive been watching alot of vh1 classic two and have just gotten into them alot dont know much about there albums but they have some prettty good songs. there were some really great bands in the 80s and alot of really bad ones to. i wasnt there being only 15 but i know alot of stuff. guns n roses is what inspired me to start playing guitar, paradise city was so cool to me after just getting into music about a year before and just listening to the new alternative crap like my chemical romance and that kinda of stuff. modern rock is so damn negative. i like to watch that vh1 shoe metal mania wwith my dad its pretty fun to watch, and whenever my dad comes into the room they play that song they always play into the fire by dokken i think. and i yell into the fire at him and we laugh its awesome  .

It is funny this thread went from big hair boy rock bands to big hair country artist. Just shows how diverse most of us are in music taste and apprictiate music of many differing styles. Good music is Good Music!

Thanks Chet (and others who offered country artists). Some of these I know, others I have not listened to and will take some time to listen.

I think Poison's last [recently] released album was "Poison'd," and I think they did a few covers of some songs. But otherwise I haven't listened to the album itself. Then again I'm just not much of a Poison fan. :?
