Well, with Malcom Young and Phil Rudd already gone from the band for dementia health issues and murder charges, respectively, then all that is left is Angus Young and Brian Johnson. Oh, that's right. Angus fired Brian Johnson just after kicking off a world tour, and AC/DC has hired their old pre-Bon Scott singer to fill in. Is this for real??? It has been widely reported, so I am assuming it is.

I read about this. I don't know if it's true. If it is, they should hold open auditions. I know a dozen singers that sound more like Brian than Brian lol.

Here are 3 bands that have a suitable singer:
Broken teeth
Bang Tango
D-connect

**UPDATE**: Earlier today (Tuesday, March 15), Jim Breuer posted the following statement on his Facebook page: "I have seen some stories circulating about my podcast. As a friend, I saw Brian withdrawn for the first time in my life. He's not a quitter, he seemed hurt by the situation of being between a rock and a hard place. I spoke as a true fan and friend, simply venting as if he was a brother of mine. I hope to see him rock out one more time. You have to remember I'm a comedian & a storyteller. I definitely exaggerate and sometimes I get a little carried away!! And this was one of those times!"

This was an update to that story. Maybe he wasn't fired.

ACDC shoulda hung up the towel ages ago. Nothing but stale stadium rock now.
Literally all their songs sound the same.
I can name tonnes of Aussie bands that are a thousand times better IMO

Everyone likes what they like of course, and many people still love these guys, but.......... for me, a little bit of them goes a long way.

I guess some people missed this recent headline:

AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson ordered “to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss”

LINK

so that article was from a site called "blabbermouth.net"? Looks like the online version of a tabloid.

But here is what is really strange...
1) The story came from Jim Breuer who evidently really is a friend of Brian. He is going to make that up?? Where is the joke there? Honestly, that was to me what gave the story some credibility. While it came out later, Breuer said he was "exaggerating". It sounds more like he really just did not want to be the one to be the source of the story, and violate a friend's confidence. Further, he never said he was making up the whole thing. Weird...
2) The story was widely run all over the place, tons of media outlets. And Blabbermouth is actually reputable, believe it or not.
3) Marc Storace of Krokus has openly requested an audition.
4) If Angus was to get rid of Brian, this may have seen a "reasonable" way to do so without pissing off all the fans. Further, AC/DC has been known to make quick line-up switches before. Remember that the time between Bon's death and Back in Black was only a matter of months.
5) If the story is all fake, why have Brian or AC/DC not come out to say anything on it?
6) At some point, we will find out if it is real or not. But it seems very likely that it mayyyyy be true.

I think Justin Bieber would make a fine replacement. Think of the potential fan crossover, too! :P

That choice makes as much sense as Julio Inglesias.

Meghan Trainor.

Of course, she would ignore everybody in the band except but Cliff Williams.

I think he's committed to play the lead in a new bio-pic about Michael Jackson's formative years in Gary, Indiana. Macauley Culkin will play his pet rat Ben.
