Yes, but a four-ohms-in-series configuration will have no effect on the aggregate SPL. That would be a function of speaker efficiency, not impedance. Conversely, a pair of 8Ω drivers in series would reduce the amp's efficiency and limit the total available output to around 15 or 16 watts. That would quiet things down a skosh.
