I think it does too. Haven't had a chance to do any photos of the USA GL Jazz with the Black Motto PG on board. the grain in the board isn't too bas either.

Very nice. To me, this is what the Am. Pro. should have been designed for. Like I mentioned before, I'm really liking the Black Motto PG mounted on it.

Well, here's your chance to vote, Mr. Nylon. I know which one you'll choose.

I'd have to pick Geddy Lee, since he also sings, plays keys (or foot pedals) at the same time, in 7/4 time. :P

Have you also tried the crimson red FMT with black binding and blocks?

No,....... I've only seen a couple of photos of them. Nice looking bass though.

The USA GL Jazz I have, is one of the basses that comes in the deluxe Fender case, that the Am. Pro.'s come in.

Didn't sailors wear bell bottoms so they can be used to help float in the water, or is that some BS my dad told me when I was a kid? He was in the Navy from 1950 to 1953, by the way.

Sorry, I missed this earlier, Paul. I have to chime in to support your dad.

Bell bottoms are definitely to get out of the clothing, especially when wearing boots, before being dragged under.

My father joined WWII when he was 17 and, except for a couple of years before the Korean conflict, he was in until retirement. He and his buddy were in charge of a training division of 90 sailors many times so you'd think he would know for sure. Flotation from bell bottoms? That's the same thing he told me, and so did others while I was in training.
Here's the truth:

There ya have it. Bellbottoms are not just for truckin' and funk bands!

So to all the sons and daughters, listen to your dad. For those of us who no longer can do that, Dad's stories may be true. :D

On behalf of the Vets, truth is stranger than fiction. A good thing to remember when they tell those tales. Only after I walked a few places in my father's shoes did I discover that.

I think I once saw the first method of inflating the pants for flotation. Interesting though.

I guess that does make sense with the bell bottoms, especially with the boots. Speaking of which, I suppose the reason military boots are lace up instead of pull up also serve a purpose, as well.

My dad served during the Korean War, but he wasn't stationed over there. He was on an LST craft (LST 509 was his ship,) and they did train Marines who did go over to Korea. The last the ship was used for was in Vietnam, from what he was saying. Out of curiosity, as I was typing this, I went ahead and looked it up and there's actually an Wikipedia article on it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Bullo ... y_(LST-509) That was his ship.
