Yeah, it would have made sense for you to have worn tiger stripe camouflage, since obviously you wouldn't have wanted to be spotted to easily. I just don't understand the Navy ones. I will say, it does look kind of cool, though.

Blue cammo is kinda' odd, no mater what. You're right though, it's cool looking.
What would the Air Force use for Cammo? White cammo for clouds???

I don't know. I think theirs is similar to the Army, but there is white for winter camo, even though I've noticed most of our conflicts seemed to be fought in hot climates for some reason, like deserts and jungles back in the day. I guess the hot weather pisses people off more. People are too busy freezing their arses off in the snow to fight each other, I suppose. :P

Most of the crazies do seem to be in the warmer climates. With the exception of the biggest nut case of them all in N. Korea.

I should be about 26 hours till delivery tomorrow, of the USA GL Jazz. I also have a case coming for the PJ Precision. The gig bag I have it in is ok, but I just like it to be more protected.Image

Cool deal. 8) I wish I had the extra cash, so I can get some seriously needed cases for my gear. All I have is one case, which I can put my Precision or Jazz basses in, but that's it. I need one for the hollow-body, Telecaster, and whatever else bass, which another case the size of the one I have would work. The problem is cases aren't cheap, although Rondo Music has them cheaper than anywhere else I've found, so far. Plus, they have the case for the hollow-body, since that's where I bought it in the first place.

I only had to get the one case for the PJ. The USA GL ships in it's case. The real shame is how expensive the cases are, and how lesser they are in the heavier quality, as compared to the older cases. I know, I moved enough of the older cases on the road.

The funny thing, even at Rondo Music, the case for the violin bass costs $65 (which is on the low end for what those cases go for, compared to the actual Hofner ones,) and I only paid around $99 for the bass, itself. I guess it's one of those necessary expenses, though.

You were pretty lucky to get the bass for that low of a price. It's unfortunately a gamble on spending the money for the case, that's close to the price of the bass, and protecting it, or not have the protective case, and hope no damage occurs to it. And if it does have catastrophic event, can you replace the bass at, or about the price you paid for it.

Yeah, and the case for the violin bass is a specialty size, unlike a case that is pretty universal for a Jazz or Precision Bass, or copies of those. At least that one is pretty common, so it probably wouldn't be too hard to find a deal on one somewhere.

I don't think there are too many case makers that don't make generic Jazz / Precision cases.

I picked up the USA GL Jazz a little after 10:00 today. It looks, and plays great! I almost forgot how much I like everything about it. I strung it with the Nylons, and mounted a Black Motto PG on it. I'll try to do some pics tomorrow.
