Which is funny, when you think about it, since they are mass produced with computerized machines, usually. Then again, trees aren't machine made, so there is that organic factor with the wood.

The tuning keys can slightly affect the tuning of some basses if you hold on to the key when tuning it. You may see a difference in tones when letting go of the key.

You know, I was looking at some Squier 70's style Jazzes, which had those block inlays, but I couldn't pass up the deal I got with the Precision. It was $100 cheaper, and I could get in on payments. Originally, I did consider ordering a Jazz from Fender directly, but this worked out better, I think. They have a Jazz that looks like that Geddy Lee model, which makes sense, since originally, Geddy Lee's bass is a 70's Jazz. I suppose there are some modifications, of course.

The PJ I just acquired, has a 70's Jazz neck on it. And, like you said, the USA GL is based on a 1972 Jazz.

What you need is some bell bottoms, mutton chop sideburns, and a T-shirt with the "Keep On Truckin'" guy on it to add to the ambiance of the bass. :P

I had all of those at one time. I think I still have a pair of Levis Bellbottom Jeans, but they don't fit anymore. All of those would've gone great with an Acoustic 360/361.

Oh yeah, most definitely. You know, I've seen those for sale, from time to time, but even if I had the cash, that thing would be such a huge pain in the $@! to even move around, because of the weight and size of it. At least my 18" Celestion cab is actually pretty portable, and I can move it up the stairs, which are narrow. It's even light than the Rumble combo, believe it or not. Probably because it's plywood, instead of MDF.

Since you're into bell bottoms, this sailor suggests the high waisted ones with the button flap. The flap comes in handy, but make sure it's in the front. :P

Didn't sailors wear bell bottoms so they can be used to help float in the water, or is that some BS my dad told me when I was a kid? He was in the Navy from 1950 to 1953, by the way.

Personally, they've never really been my choice for britches to wear. :P

Yeah, they didn't have bell bottoms in the Army, did they? Although, they could be used as an extra parachute for Airborne purposes, perhaps. :P What's really strange is the Navy has these blue camouflage uniforms now (there's a base down the road and I see Navy people all of the time at the Chinese restaurant.) I don't understand the purpose of that, since where would that be applied? You wouldn't really think that you'd want to be camouflaged if you wound up in the water, if you fell off the ship somehow. I'd think that would be a very bad thing. I guess there must be some sort of tactical purpose to it. I don't know any current Navy people, otherwise I'd ask them.

Blue cammo does seem odd. I was kinda' partial to tiger stripe cammo myself.
