Glenn, I've got a krazy question for ya. Have you, Paul, or anyone found that changing over to nylon strings need, perhaps, a different consideration for pickup optimization. In other words - is a straight string swap without changing pups common and feasible? Or is there a better solution?

My first guitar was mahogany with nylons, but no electronics.

Well,...... other than using La Bella Nylons on a Hofner 500/1, I use only D'Addario ETB92 series Nylon Tapewounds, on everything. Different scale sizes as needed of course. On all of the different brand basses strung with the ETB92 Nylons, I've never had to reset, or adjust anything. I take the factory strings off, and restring it with the Nylons. With the gauge sizes of the D'Addario Nylons being the same size, or so close in size, it's that simple. The EBT92 Nylons have a Flat string sound, and with all the settings on bass amps today, you can tune in the sound you want from them. I see it as the pups are picking up the string sounds, but it's the amp settings that's controlling the out come.
As an old Roadie, I try keep things simple, but work!

My wish for you, Glenn, is that it always works that way. Thought you'd like to know that I had some lime Jello from Mrs. FSB yesterday, and it was easy peasy to make.

What a great idea! Thanks, Paul. If I get pulled over, do you think I'll get by telling the cop I had Jello? I may have to call in Glenn as an expert witness.

JELLO!!!! I always tried to get a road crew to work smart, and together. I think they found there was a method to my madness, that worked for US ALL. We all worked for the same goal, the gear.

If Perry didn't, that Paul Drake would have. Going by the groovy jackets he wore. I'm glad they were shown in B&W.
