Cool find, Juanito!

I bought a similar instrument in 2011...the main differences were the color (mine was a flat TV Yellow) and the pickups (mine had P90's)...
Loved the tone, loved the looks, hated the tiny little scrawny neck and lack of tuning stability.

Initially, I thought about replacing the tuning keys or perhaps stealing the pickups for another guitar, but I ended up trading it in for an instrument that will be revealed on this site later.... :?:

That guitar might go back to the pawn shop in order to trade it for that Ibanez. Researched that guitar quite a bit for this past week and the flip potential is there. I highly doubt I'll be able to sell it in the four digits, but if I restore it and make it look nice, then I think it's sellable for around $800. Then with that money I can get me a very nice set neck cherry burst or gold top Epi LP or maybe an used Gibby Studio. 8)

And can't wait to see your new acquisition!

Got to see that Ibanez in person and had to walk away from it. The seller wouldn't budge south of $400 and the guitar although playable, is in really rough shape. A real shame really and absolutely ridiculous the shop owner wants so much for it.

Wish I took pictures but the finish is pretty bad, it has several nicks and scratches and chips that he cleverly avoided to show in those pics, and the pick guard scratches suggest that guitar was really played. I offered $200 and told him I was being very generous because it does need a good restoration in order to sell at a profit. He thinks he's holding on a collector's item that will continue to raise in value, but really, that guitar looks like a $50 guitar. No collector would be interested in such condition.
