Wow. I'm amazed with this guy. Just came back from his show in Portugal and the man is still killin' it live. Was not expecting such a great show to be honest! :D

Cool that you had a great show. I'm really not surprised, he's a real professional.

Just seeing the name in the title of a post, I was afraid of looking.
Thankfully it wasn't about yet another death.

yea what Arth said... same thing ran through my head.

I know he's not loved by all, but I like a lot of what he's done. If I think about it, back in the 80s, when I was gigging way more than I needed to, we probably had 2 or 3 of his hits in each set. the guy back then was writing songs like he was machine..

I liked his early rockin' stuff especially...less fond of his (later) ballads and movie themes.

Saw him open for the Stones at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas during the Voodoo Lounge tour--didn't expect to be entertained so well, especially since he was following Ian Moore (a personal favorite of mine) amd in the way of me seeing Keef and Crew.

I ended up being pleasantly surprised by his great showmanship and the good musicianship all throughout his band, especially since they were playing in the driving rain! I thought they might be "playing" to backing tracks, but halfway through one song, there was a sudden "BOOM-CLANG-BONK" sound, because the lead guitarist had slipped and busted his tail while jogging down a ramp on the side of the stage...his guitar WAS live and working. He got up and laughed, checked his tuning and kept playing.

Good performer--glad you got to see him!

+1

I saw Bryan Adams during that same tour in El Paso (I think it was October of '94). A really outstanding show for sure. No rain but it was damn cold by the time Mick and the boys took to the stage at 9 PM. IIRC Bryan played a Fiesta Red Strat for most of his set.
