Dear Fender, Please change the website picture for the American Elite Series. To me it looks like beautiful blue Strats are being hung by the neck until dead, or something from the 1978 film Coma.

Hmmmm... I don't know.... maybe they've got something there...

What may work better than what's there....
How about this....
Have a couple of the new guitars in the bed of an old pickup truck.... with HUGE burlap bags on each side of the new guitars (a Strat and a Tele...) overflowing with.... that... that.... "Green" stuff.... just popping out....
put a slogan up there.... "Fender American Elite Series.... Here to Take You Higher" 8)

Please.... everyone... post a suggestion...

+1

That would make me buy one, as long as they threw in a bag of Doritos.

Now that the Fender Elite Series will replace the Deluxe Series, what will become of the Deluxe Strat Plus (introduced in 2014)? Fender just came out with about 11 or 12 new cards. I wander if they will continue to sell them, discontinue them or revamp them at some time in the future.

I really like mine, but I get the feeling that Fender may discontinue the model. 1. Music stores that I visited didn't really promote the guitar properly. Most sales people didn't know how the guitar worked. 2. Many players might have viewed the new guitar as too ecsotic or not worth money.

I played several in various stores and in every instance, the cards were located separately with from the guitar.

I wonder how many versions of Fender's noiseless pups will be made so that the last version can be chosen (or all - should you want a collection), and what are the odds earlier versions will be more popular than later ones? Guess I'll have to check out the latest version (just when I'm thinking of a new mixer).

I spoke with a Fender rep. He did some investigation and looks like the Dlx Strat Plus at this moment is not going to be discontinued.
