Howdy ya'll! I know it probably seems like I've dropped off the face of the Earth, but I've just been so busy lately I'm lucky to get much free time anymore.

On Tuesday I start my (hopefully) final semester of community college! I've managed to squeeze two years into three (thanks terrible counseling directing me to classes I didn't need to take), but I still have a 4.0 GPA with almost 60 credit hours finished. This May I should have an associate's degree in music. After that, it's anyone's guess. I'm debating whether to immediately move on to getting a bachelor's degree, or whether to devote my time completely to gigging over the next couple of years. If taking a couple of years off causes me to miss out on scholarships and other financial aid, I'll have to stay in school. I actually want to stay in school, perhaps up to the point of getting an advanced degree. I'm very interested in musicology.

So I basically have no idea where I'll be next Fall. I'm sure it'll be interesting! There are some big (and possibly international) plans brewing again for this summer, so we'll have to see where that leads as well.

I'm still teaching guitar lessons and gigging locally, which is great because my financial aid doesn't cover all of my expenses and teaching and performing are two things I really enjoy doing. I'm especially busy lately because I took on an extra weekly gig and an extra day of teaching in order to fund a return visit to Ireland/the UK. Yes, I liked it that much. The hours are killing me, but it'll be worth it to have a couple of weeks to myself in a place where I won't be quick fried the moment I step outside!

So anyway, before I jump back into my work/study/sleep/repeat schedule next week, here's a video of an Eric Johnson cover I did:

Maybe next time you come to the UK you might want to come to my part of England. This is some of us lot, we have a folk night every thursday, anyone is welcome to join us at the Moon Spinners, Rochdale.

Nice video and playing Becky. Congrats on closing in on your Associates Degree. I hope you continue on with your education both academically and musically. Enjoy Ireland round two!

I'm not sure if we ever conversed on the forum, but I do want to say that was some nice playing. 8)

Nice picking, Becky.
Taylor GA3?
Nice sounding guit-box.
Yours?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I'll try to swing by England next time around, it's kind of weird that I went all the way over there and never made it south of Ayrshire. I may even go early this time around so that I can get some extra exploring in before the rest of the band gets there and everything becomes more down to business. I'd be happy to stop by if I happen to be in the area! :)

Not quite, it's actually a Taylor GS Mini. (It looks like a regular sized guitar on me, doesn't it?) I got it for traveling purposes, because it fits in an overhead compartment really well.
