I got something I was really needing. No more just leaning guitars up against my desk or bookshelf which was a disaster waiting to happen. I'm surprised dogs haven't precipitated this disaster already.

Santa brought me this. (But I have been very nice all year!!!  And Santa did this without my hinting!!! Great job, Santa.Obviously these are photos from Sweetwater's website.

I got the usual adult male gifts and am very glad my family remembers my needs because I don't. But they did give me a couple GC gift cards, when I use them, I'll post a pic of my purchase.

Well, music related, I got a couple of magazine subscriptions. Actually, one was an extension for another two years to Premier Guitar which I already have had going for about two years now, and a new one for Vintage Guitar magazine, as well as Bass Player magazine. So that's some nice bed time reading, besides the occasional AMS and Musician's Friend catalogs. It keeps the GAS going, I guess. :P

I received some music CDs, but no real music gear for the first time in a long time . . . so I'll buy my own. I have a couple of vibe pedals, but I wanted a stereo unit. I narrowed it down to the DigiTech Ventura Vibe and the TC Electronics Viscous Vibe. I chose the DigiTech. It was a little more money, but has so many more features. Can't wait to put it through its paces. Weird graphics again.

That's a pretty cool looking pedal. I'll bet it sounds great. I like Digitech stuff a lot. :)

In mid December I bought my own Christmas present because none of my loved ones would know what to get me even if they were so inclined. I already have pretty much anything I would want and only the out-of-the-ordinary stuff gives me GAS now. So I got me a Taylor Baritone-6 acoustic, mentioned on some other thread around here somewhere, with pics. I really like the sound of it, although the constant transposing in my head can be a bit of a chore when playing with others. All the chord shapes are the same but they have different names on the Baritone. I play a G shape but it's a D: play an A shape but its' an E, etc.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Transposing in your head is good training.
Also for when using a capo on a regular guitar, or playing with other instruments that can't be tuned much.
Or even singers with limited vocal range.

Seem's like there are a couple threads like this going....but I'll post here as well.

1). 2015 Fender T-Bucket 300CE (Amber)
2). Set of Fender 880L 80/20 Coated Phosphor Bronze strings (12's) as a back-up set for the T-Bucket
3). 15 foot Stratocaster 60th Anniversary Instrument Cable
4). Behringer TU300 Chromatic Pedal Tuner
5). Behringer PSU-SB 9V DC Power Supply (for the pedal tuner---still can't believe the manufacturers don't supply an adaptor and charge a few extra dollars...get's old buying separate power supplies every time)

If someone is not familiar with the 880L strings...they came installed on the T-Bucket, and I was so amazed with the sound, that I not only left them on the guitar...but bought a set for when the originals finally give.
They are bright, and are a great match for (this particular) electric/acoustic.
That being said...I would NOT put them on my regular acoustics; I prefer a duller more rhythmic sound on those.

Same here... I already posted up about my incredible Gretsch G5122 hollow body electric and the Hercules guitar hangers. That's pretty much it musically.

Other stuff was a nice Leatherman multi-tool, a wicked bright LED light with headband, a really beautiful NY Mets longsleeve shirt, honoring them as the 2015 NL Champs (btw, the Mets have been my childhood team since I can remember!), and a bunch of other really cool odds and ends.

I was supposed to get a custom guitar way before Christmas but it's not done yet.
