I've narrowed down to KeePass2, 1Password and LastPass and
also like Fillr for mobile. I'm looking for a good cross-platform one.

Yeah, it's music related to remember this site and other MP3 sites.

I've been happy with lastpass, but there is a learning curve. I also hid a hard copy of the master password in an undisclosed location. I POA keep the LP programs running in startup, this avoideds having to input your master password every new login.

Are you using the free version or the premium?

I've been trying the free version but I will be buying the premium after the first of the year. I don't really need the additional services, like sync to all devices. I still use the computer to access the web not the phone(can't really see the tiny print on smartphones). I just like to support software that I use. I also wanted to see how the lastpass framework held up after a year or so of breach attempts. They have only had one incident of a major hack attempt since I installed and they say there was no breach. But to be practical, if they want in, they get in. We can only hope to encourage them to go after those less protected. Back in the day I used port monitoring (Zone Alarm) and a hard firewall, now those things are not practical(well Zone Alarm isn't) do to the ever increasing porting requirements of browsers and apps. That's why I'll stick with Win 7 and avoid Android and Win 8 platforms as long as possible. My main concern is email, that's were the weakness is, they get control of your account and then can change other passwords. Thats where lastpass comes in with one touch password changes, every few months I change them all, even the master that I keep in hidden in RL. One last thing is formfill, I don't ever store passwords or form data in browsers, but I do in LP everything except CC#'s...
P.S. I'm not a Lastpass rep :D so Im open to try something new, if your research shows a better option please let me know.

Yeah, I've been trying LastPass free version for a few days now and
so far I like the interface and vault. I had KeePass but it just seemed
awkward. I'll stick with LastPass and see how it goes.

I use my brain, it works great. Seriously what's so hard about remembering a password? And if you're using a password manager so you won't have to take the time to enter those troublesome passwords, you are disabling the security that is in place to protect you.

That you have to remember dozens or hundreds of them.
Some systems also enforce password aging, making you change every 90 days, or whatever interval they set. So you then have to unremember a password too.

If you use the same password everywhere, I admire the bells on your hat.

arth, I don't seem to have any problem, and no I don't use the same password for everything. I also use strong passwords. I must be a genius.

I use over 70 passwords 12 digits #/special/upper and lower case and change the vital ones semi monthly, its not only that I cant remember them (I freely admit I can't) but I wouldn't if I could. I guess us normal folk just ain't smart enough. :?

I have a large amount of documents, music, graphics, recording
reading, design, retail, expenses, etc...broken down into sub folders
that I keep vaulted.

Not sure why, I got a letter from the GPO that my SS# and personal
info (even fingerprints) were part of the Chinese gub'ment hack.

I chose "I don't use one" and "I write them on paper"

I had to Google it to learn what a password manager was but now that I have I will be getting one as well. So far I'm leaning to Dashlane but the search continues. I am cautious of having anything at all to do with a cloud.

Edit: I decided on 1Password. After looking into a half dozen or so I decided to give this one a try. I've never used this kind of software before so my first impressions (when I get some) may not be of much value to others. It's in the process of downloading even as I type this. One of the deciding factors was the price. A reasonable enough price with no recurring subscription charges. I won't do subscriptions for software anymore. Been there done that never again. Rip off in my view. Another factor was the option to use or not use a cloud. That might not be important to some but it's a deal maker/breaker for me. Another factor was that I could not find a single bad review. As a newbie to this sort of thing I feel at least a little compelled to follow the herd somewhat until I have a better idea of what I'm talking about and it looked to me like this one got the most raves.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Poll ended, so I didn't get to vote...but this would have been mine. I have a small notebook for just such an occasion. Not worried about anyone "hacking" it either.
