It sucks to here bad news after good news, but I just found out my dad had a minor stroke yesterday. I talked to my sister and mom in Florida, where they live. Luckily, my sister was there at the time or he would be gone now. He's in ICU, but it looks like he'll be OK. :( He's 83 by the way, and still runs a lawn service business, so he's pretty tough. That's pretty ball breaking work in the summer time, especially Florida. I know, I did it with him for 20 odd years. My mom and him have been married since 1953, so she's obviously pretty shaken up. I'm dealing with it OK. You know, try to hold the line together, that sort of thing.

Way cool.
Kudos!

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Thanks. The funny thing is that I have had a news feed to that magazine for a long time before I found out about it. It's where I get most of my music news from. I'm going to start picking up print issues from the book store where I get my other magazines from.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, Paul. Strokes are a tough issue to be sure. Glad to hear that he is on the mend and, having a close relative with a stroke in her 80s nearby our home, we have seen the great work that can be done with today's knowledge and therapy. In her case, the end results are incredible. Every case is different, but then again every case, generally speaking, can be addressed differently than in the past. Here's wishing you and your family the best, Paul.

Thanks. 8) If only now we can get on the BBC, that would be cool. At least 15 people got a hold of the single, or maybe the EP, but haven't heard back from anyone yet.

Thank you. My dad is being moved out of ICU and is going into the rehab facility. He is actually in pretty good shape, from what I heard. My sister will probably call me tonight for the report. He was certainly lucky that she was around when it happened, so that he could get help right away. It could have been a lot worse.
